While sipping on french bubbly and a wonderful array of canapes media and celebrity guests were treated to a makeup parade with a twist -  Gorgeous models with makeup by jane iredale who had also been painted by Carmel McCormick body artist and creator of the wonderful work in the Air New Zealand ‘Got You Under My Skin’ advertisement.

The models were dressed in different themes to complement each new product. First up look was ‘Perfectly Nude’, the new Spring 2010 Collection from jane iredale, featured  models covered in delicate jewels and crystal drops.

Next up was ‘Eye Steppes’, a new eye makeup collection for specific eye colours aptly named ‘Go Green’, ‘Go Brown’, ‘Go Blue’. With looks inspired by the forest, land and sea. Go Blue, NZ Oceanic Paua was created by Deb Tremayne of ‘You Photography’ in Auckland, who won the ‘Peoples’ Choice Award in the jane iredale 2010 makeup competition.

A golden goddess then graced the catwalk, representing jane iredale’s new self tanner ‘Tantasia’, followed by the winners of the Makeup Competition – Aphrodite in the ‘Beauty Therapy’ category created by Kelly Cupples of Accentuate You in Waiouru and Bluebell in the ‘Makeup Artist’ category created by Nikola Mitchell from Tint in Hamilton.

Finishing the show was a model painted in pink and draped  in a white gauzy fabric, only to drop the cloth to reveal a hand painted Phoenix bird and breast cancer ribbon underneath. This was to symbolize the strength of cancer survivors worldwide and to showcase the new jane iredale Phoenix Sugar and Butter Lip Plumper and Exfoliator, a product launching for Breast Cancer Awareness month ($2 from every sale will go towards NZBCF) and which will also be available throughout the year..

Nikki Lovrich said "I was thrilled to be a part of this event. I love the jane iredale brand and philosophy which is all about natural beauty and natural ingredients but high fashion too. It was great to see the winners of the makeup competition being able to showcase their winning entries and also to be involved with something so different.”
