Heading Out With Caterina DiBiase!

While we were at Salon Melbourne we managed to catch up with ‘Hair Expo Australian Hairdresser Of the Year’ 2009 & 2007 Caterina DiBiase. Caterina is Group Artistic Director for one of Victoria’s leading salon groups ‘Heading Out’ which consists of 5 Hair & Beauty Salons and the new ‘Heading Out Academy’.
As a judge at the recent L’Oreal Colour Trophy awards in Auckland, Caterina was impressed with the high standard here in New Zealand. Later this year she will be conducting special training seminars for L’Oreal Professionnel in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Caterina will also spend 5-6 days in India, as she has done for the past 3 years, educating and performing Cut & Colour Masterclasses. Beijing is also on her agenda this year, as a L’Oreal ambassador.
When we asked Caterina about the recent introduction of INOA Colour, she had this to say; "I love INOA, it has a fabulous shine, it’s environmentally friendly, it doesn’t smell and it doesn’t stain. We have had a great response from our customers resulting in a 30% increase in business” Said Caterina.
Caterina was delighted to share with us the exciting details about the academy. Catering for up to 120 students at a time it provides a unique destination for hairdressers seeking the ultimate in education & inspiration. There is also a custom built photography studio at the Fitzroy academy.
The Heading Out Academy team, led by Caterina, is made up of salon hairdressers and fully trained educators who play vital roles in the ongoing success of ‘Heading Out’. Special guest tutors include Jayne Wild and Alan White to name but a few. There are many specialist courses available with flexible learning options. Here is a overview of the some of the courses.
