Emiliano Vitale - To Present At The 2011 Alternative Hair Show, London.

Emiliano Vitale, the award-winning Creative Director of Sydney’s é SALON, will be the first Australian hairdresser to present at the 29th Alternative Hair Show in London on October 16th 2011.

Making a marked return to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, this year’s London Alternative Hair Show is themed ‘ILLUSION’ and will create excitement as perceptions are altered allowing for an alternative reality. This show promises to deliver a charged atmosphere of inspiration and mystique.

Emiliano first began his association with the Alternative Hair Show in the early 90s, when he was working at London’s revered Sanrizz salon (salon owner & namesake Tony Rizzo is the founder of the AHS). As an assistant on this show, Emiliano never forgot the experience, which led é SALON to be involved in the Seoul Korea show in 2002. Now London 2011 sees his return.

"Having worked on my first Alternative Hair Show in London with Sanrizz, I feel like everything is coming full circle, returning to this inspirational event,” says Emiliano. "It is a dream come true and an absolute
honour to be the first Australian hairdresser to be invited to present at the London show.”

Since it was launched in 1983, the Alternative Hair Show has now raised more than £8 million for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. Today, thanks to the Alternative Hair Show, the dream of all children surviving leukaemia, lymphoma and other blood-related cancers becomes a real possibility.

"For me, the Alternative Hair Show is the pinnacle of creative expression in terms of the world stage, providing hairdressers with a platform to be truly creative whilst raising funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma research; it’s so exciting and humbling to be involved. And to be alongside names such as Sanrizz, Mahogany, Sassoon, Andrew Collinge and Guy Kremer whilst being the sole Australian representing our industry is something truly special,” says Emiliano.

Each participating salon will present a 3-4 minute, choreographed show which showcases new talent and international hairdressers, giving them the opportunity to show their artistry at this global event.
