Travis Balcke - Wella Care And Styling Brand Ambassador For Australia And New Zealand

Sydney editorial stylist Travis Balcke was drawn into the uninhibited world of hairdressing as a creative avenue to escape and express his naturally inquisitive mind.

Talent that is stand out impressive, Balcke’s journey is one that is of sheer tenacious ambition. Setting high goals and standards for himself have resulted in him working for Australian hairdressing icon Renya Xydis for the last three years and landing on the international runway arena as number one assistant to Wella Global Ambassador Eugene Souleiman.

Balcke has had hands on insight on the performance of the entire Wella range as a one of the first hairdressers to trial the products alongside Souleiman.

Seeing Balcke travel internationally up to four times a year, he is personally requested by Souleiman to work in Milan, Paris and New York. An opportunity that is coveted amongst hairdressers worldwide.

Working on campaigns across music [Lady Gaga] editorial [Madison, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Grazia and Shop Till You Drop] and celebrity [Gwyneth Paltrow, Julianne Moore] the innate creative vision Balcke instinctively produces, is jaw dropping.

Education is paramount; Balcke has worked as an educator. A career that is well rounded he glides between in- salon work, editorial know how and working in the trenches backstage on some of the worlds most
celebrated fashion houses.

He sees light and movement in all types of hair, his experience is one that is practical yet enhances the true beauty of women and men alike and sees him with a cult like following when in Sydney at Renya Xydis City Salon.
