An Entertaining Evening with Patrick Cameron

The winner of the inaugural 2011 NZARH Patrick Cameron Photographic Challenge, a competition that embodies the work that Patrick is renowned for and reflects his perfection in the skills of long hairdressing, was announced on Monday 15th August at the absolutely amazing ‘Evening with Patrick Cameron’ Show at the beautiful Novotel Ellerslie in Auckland.

Despite appalling weather conditions in the worst storm to hit new Zealand in decades, it was a great turnout and Patrick amused, entertained, inspired and educated in the inimitable style that he has perfected. Hosted by Lyndsay Loveridge and supported by Tony Elwin, Neil Evans and David Shields, it was certainly a privilege for our audience.

The winner of the competition was Michelle Webb from Hi Gorgeous in Rangiora, and second and third places went to Donna James from Donna James Hairdressing in Nelson and Hazel Newman from Jan Waite Hairdressing in Auckland respectively.

The caliber of entries delighted Patrick and his words were "I am so proud of them’’ Patrick also said that the competition was truly unique in that that the entrants had to show the front, side and back of the hairstyle, which meant that the stylist had to think the whole look through.

Congratulations to all finalists and indeed to all who entered. We certainly hope to see them all in the competition again in 2012.
