Zambesi Since 1979

You can not have anything but admiration for a label that after starting out over 30 years ago, still remains at the forefront of the New Zealand fashion industry today. Each year they still manage to surprise their devoted followers. This collection was all about colour and a feel of freshness with neon mint tops paired with black and stone jackets and coats. Cobalt blue and dazzling yellow added to the mix.

Menswear was outstanding, probably the best seen over the week. Beautiful tailored Jackets, a dark chocolate brown suit, fabrics that radiated sheen. Fur collars added to the look. Sportswear was an influence with snap fasteners on tailored designs. Zambesi continued their long standing tradition of models wearing Doc Martens boots.

Behind the scenes the team from Stephen Marr produced some very slick hair  that matched the hyper cool look of the collection.

Liz Findlay, Zambesi designer described the collection as a mix of couture and sportswear "It sort of came together in a very organic kind of way.” Said Liz. It was a departure away from what we have come to expect from Zambesi in terms on colour but we loved it!
