Goldwell ColorZoom 2011 - Miami

Miami was the perfect place to host Goldwell’s ColorZoom Finale, a truly colourful eclectic city in itself where international colorists from around the world assembled to compete for global recognition and the opportunity to join the ColorZoom Artistic Team to create the next inspirational collection.

With 70 Goldwell colorists from 30 countries, 2,000 hair industry experts, special guests and international media converged in Miami at The Fontainbleau Hotel for three incredible days of hairdressing. Three talented finalists were awarded global winners in their respective categories. Partner Colorist, Creative Colorist and New Talent Colorist.

The event started with a catwalk show where all of the finalist’s models strutted the runway waving their country’s flag. Each colorist’s brief was to create a look inspired by the latest ColorZoom collection, this year the inspiration was the 2011 ‘Play Strong’ Collection. This years judges included celebrity colorist Rona O’Connor and industry icon Nick Arrojo.

The opening show from Nick Arrojo and his Arrojo team was amazing with a typical Miami ‘Gangster theme’ reminiscent of the 80’s TV show ‘Miami Vice.’ The new Goldwell Trend collection titled ‘Fasinature’ was also revealed by the ColorZoom Trend team.

Finally on Sunday night the three global winners were announced. Lisa Whiteman from the UK for Partner, Ben Lin from Taiwan for Creative, and Demi Leigh Gardiner from Australia for New Talent!
