Ponsonby’s On Jervois - A Unique Establishment!
The salon was extremely successful but however after many years happy trading Ken recently faced significant rental increases and so decided to explore further options. Walking down Jervois Road one day he came upon a vacant, run down building, 118 years old in fact! He immediately reconised the buildings potential as a Hair Salon - visualising an indoor outdoor flow for his clients. The position right on the corner of Jervois Road ensured great exposure to the passing traffic estimated at 30,000 vehicles a day!
Having then purchased the building Ken endured months of delays courtesy of the Auckland City Council consents department before completely refubishing the building, which included replacing the foundations, the end result being a beautiful impressive salon.
Ponsonby’s On Jervois is different! You can feel the ambience as soon as you set foot inside the salon. Walk through to an exquiste relaxing garden which gives clients the option to relax in the sun or shade with a lovely coffee while waiting for their hair to process. No expense has been spared! The salon has a full kitchen and bar facility and also its own laundry and bathroom. This is a work enviroment second to none!
All staff have had international experience and while bringing their professional styling techniques to Ponsonby’s On Jervois they are all enjoying the opportunity to make significant personal gain.
