Bernadette Beswick – Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2025 Creative ANZ Hair Industry Awards!
Monday 30th June saw acclaimed Victorian hairdresser Bernadette Beswick take home the biggest award of the night at the Australian and New Zealand hair industry’s celebration of creativity and excellence, the 2025 AHIA Creative Awards. At the dazzling Gala held at The Star Sydney Event Centre, Bernadette was named AHIA Australian Hairdresser of the Year 2025.
This AHIA Creative win comes following her incredible back-to-back to wins as AHIA Creative VIC Hairdresser of the Year 2023 and 2024 as well as AHIA Educator of the Year 2024. Bernadette is the first person to ever win both AHIA Educator of the Year and AHIA Australian Hairdresser of the Year.
Bernadette stands as a distinguished industry leader with 35 years of experience, uniquely positioned as both Guest Featured Hairstylist at Silk Hairdressing and founder of the globally recognised Beswick Education. Her comprehensive expertise spans technical mastery and business acumen, making her one of the most sought-after educators in the hairdressing industry.
Through her dual roles, Bernadette bridges the gap between salon floor reality and educational excellence, ensuring her training programs address real-world challenges faced by today’s hairdressers. A champion in particular of encouraging women to embrace hairdressing as a ‘career change’, she is passionate about the opportunities this industry can provide.

Held as part of an industry-defining weekend alongside Hair Festival and AHC events, the AHIA Creative Gala delivered an unforgettable evening of glamour, inspiration and innovation. Guests were treated to three extraordinary main stage shows that brought the full force of hair artistry to life with the industry’s most exciting names.
